Heidi Amundsen

President, Class of 2022

Heidi grew up in San Diego, CA and completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution, with a minor in Islamic and Arabic Studies.

During the years between her undergraduate and graduate studies, Heidi spent her time working for various non-profit/non-governmental organizations, taking PA school pre requisite classes, getting entry-level health care experience, and training for cycling and triathlon events like she was a professional athlete. She would like it noted that she was definitely NOT a professional athlete, just an amateur with delusions of grandeur and a penchant for grueling training rides.

Heidi is currently in her final year at USC’s KSOM Primary Care PA Program. She has had the honor of serving as Class President throughout the duration of her tenure, and the privilege of serving one year on the Executive Board for the interdisciplinary Student Run Clinic. She is class-renowned for asking clarifying questions about assignment due dates and for creating MailChimp emails that are incredibly visually appealing but only moderately helpful.

She spends her very limited free time finding the optimal setting for perfectly toasted Pop Tarts, studying LA traffic patterns, and wandering the gardens at the Huntington Library.
