We speak with Dr. Hanifin about his path to becoming a CT surgery and emergency medicine PA and about the Seton Hall University PA Program. Dr. Hanifin shares his thoughts about what makes the experience work well for PA students and how PA students can best prepare for school. He also shares their story about their simulation center and how it supports their students on their educational journey.

Program Director
Chris Hanifin begin his medical career as an EMS volunteer. The EMS experience cause him change his undergraduate major from political science to pre-medicine. After working a year in hospital administration, he enrolled in the Seton Hall/UMDNJ PA program.
Following graduation, Chris worked in cardiothoracic surgery and emergency medicine, but he always felt called to teach. After serving as a guest lecturer and preceptor, he is now entering his 20th year as a full-time faculty member in the Seton Hall PA program. Through the years, he has filled almost every role in the program, teaching didactic and clinical courses, serving as a clinical coordinator, and serving as admissions director.
