Paola Gonzalez MPAS, PA-C is a bilingual clinical provider for nearly two decades in Family Practice, Internal/Occupational Medicine, and Oncology Specialties. She has been in Oncology since 2007 with experience in diverse oncological sub-specialties and since 2019 works as one of the APP peer to peer team members for MD Anderson Cancer Center.
She currently serves as President Elect for PAs for Latino Health (PALH) a Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). She has a passion for growing her knowledge and loves helping others, especially the under-served communities who face diminished resources and inequalities in healthcare. She is helping to educate clinical providers and the community about the disparities across diverse populations.
She has been a clinical preceptor in the physical diagnosis course for the Baylor College of Medicine PA Program since 2009. She is actively involved in mentoring healthcare providers and encourages Medical Spanish as an integral part of their learning to be able to relate and communicate more effectively with the Latino community. She is a Clinician Champion for PERC-Med Resources in collaboration with UC Davis, where she engages, educates, and assists healthcare providers on awareness of pesticide exposure; she shares her knowledge about proactively diagnosing pesticide exposure and state-specific pesticide reporting requirements.
